Sunday and all is well!

Another hot summer day that will be very hot for Minnesota. However change is on the way so I have to get my class work done today that needs the internet. When storms hit I shut it down.
Just on the same line. My hubby is forever changing the settings on the computer and implementing new stuff on his computer and forever having computer problems. However my two computers work wonderfully. Funny how he is forever trying to fix my old XP when it does not need help. I just want him to stay out of the computer settings and if he messes his up don't come crying to me.
Cannot get that across to him that if he leaves it alone when nothing in wrong it works better. What a computer messer upper he is. Yes that was a newly invented word perhaps be the next Rachael Rae's dictionary entry like EVOO.
Well now I have that off my chest best of luck to everyone that is working on their projects we can do this folks.
See you later.

Here I am again doing my best to pass class.

Hello everyone,
I just was revising my discussion board entry and sincerely hope that everyone else is able to accomplish this feat easier than I do.
I find the prepositions to be very hard to eliminate and use different phrases to complete the project is an issue as well.
So here between this project and the other one for anatomy where my project is slow at getting completed because of the vast amount of data out there on the skin and all its assistant items that is the hair and nails so I best get with it.
Just needed to get the job completed.

If I could just think!

So here I am starting week 8 of this semester and finding that the reading and revision of the papers. My brain is not up to thinking that hard.
Wondering if I need to get away from it for a bit because constantly being in here my little computer room and only coming out to see what I can eat or drink.
What a trip. At least I will feel freedom when this semester is over. I truly need to get with it.
So last night during my research found some interesting stuff that will go into my anatomy project. I am doing the Integumentary system and more closely the skin where new technology and discoveries are helping severely deformed skin disorders to be mended using a combination of skin grafts and bone marrow transplants. I found it to be amazing and Dr. Zeba said last night I can use that information. Wonderful way to end the day!
Now today I thought of another set of girls in England that have another skin condition I plan on writing on. Their skin grows too fast and for this reason they have to constantly take additional care and remove the old skin and let the new skin grow.
Neither of the above cases are having a cure yet but there is at least hope for them. I just have so much compassion for them I can actually feel their pain and suffering. The skin disorders are totally known to be genetic even though the parents do not have the same conditions. The parents are merely carriers of the defective genes.
Well at least I have a start and plan on working on this throughout the weekend. My hubby is so patient with me having to be back here I cannot believe it cause I did not think he would be.
He at his computer just looking things up and caring for himself and me at mine doing whatever necessary to get the best grades possible for my old brain and body.
That will be my quest so stay tuned to continuing drama of how the stomach turns. LOL.
See everyone in the threads.

This week sure is full of school work

Hello everyone,
During last week both myself and my hubby got sick with a nasty cold. First I got it and then a couple of days later he got it.
Some where I had either heard or read about how it takes a virus some 20 or 21 days to materialize. So when he got the same thing within a couple of days of mine I told him I did not do it. He probably did my cold. So it was an in house comedy relief for us to keep putting the blame back and forth because we were both so miserable. We just looked at each other in the most pitiful manner available and sniffled like little kids. Hay it helps to laugh at the other guy also especially when that guy is my hubby!
Well now last time we went shopping to get his prescriptions I got some new cold medicine that my mother used to have to get by prescription and that stuff really helped. I had to register to buy it because of the issues with meth cooking but we are getting better.
Yesterday my hubby decided to take all the blankets and pillow cases and wash everything to attempt to kill the germs and I washed the dishes and used bleach in the rinse water. I usually do that but it sounded professional didn't it?
So now my bottles that I use to freeze water in and have real cold water to drink have all been bleached and refroze. Here we are hoping not to get the same bug again cause that one is the pits.
Anyway see everyone in the threads. Have a good one.

Sunday and all is well.

You know this is the right forum for me to say how silly yesterday turned out. I had to laugh about how frustrating it became.
First of all I knew I did not have the necessary postings completed for my classes so I first finished what I left off on the day before and began my postings. This was real fine except for one thing. After I finished composing the post and running spell checker instead of copy and paste I hit cut and paste to which I then found out had timed out on the class site.
So in this brilliant state of mind I should have taken a blank document or should I say the blank document and paste onto it what I had cut earlier. Silly as that may seem I did not do that so I lost the entire posting which was for anatomy where the topic was about the nervous system. This to me is a hard week as the information is sort of complicated at least to me it is. So then I had to redo it and the second time I actually did it right.
Then I was going to go into my blog and do some posting to which I mixed up the password and was kicked out after having completed a posting I wanted to post. That was lost.
My next trick was I had read and written a posting on one of the term papers and lost that as I timed out again. I gave up last night not concerned about the consequences because life was not working but we had a good laugh over it. Both my hubby and I have a bad cold and are sounding like steam engines trying to get started but that is not working either.
Anyway I thought that was a funny sort of day and wanted to share the information. See everyone in the threads.

This is one of those days again!

Hello all,
Days that have gone by are much more interesting than days of today and tomorrow. I do remember allot of things we did as kids working on the farm and working so hard there we had no energy left by the end of the day. I never could understand how kids could sleep even until 10 am when I was a kid because my days started at 5:30 am during the school year and 6:00 am in the summer. No place for wetbacks as my dad called me sometimes when I did not want to start a day.
And before the storms happened we had to go into the field and turn the bales my dad had not picked up or were just newly baled because having the correct part down and the bale on it's side you would be fine to let the rain fall without the hay or straw molding and decaying. I wonder if kids of today have ever had such things during their times. Better yet what about kids knowing what responsibility is and how doing your share is not one of the things you get paid for you do it to ensure the family as a unit survives. In the same manner as the ant or bee colonies work. In my years as a child laziness was an insult. But today it seems that lazy is a word that others admire. What is the purpose of that?
Anyway I was just remembering. Have a good week all see you in the threads.

Remembering the preservation of foods

Hello,
Just reminiscing about when times were more interesting and with just my own thoughts I did many things in an attempt to be as self sustainable as possible. Canning everything I could find.
My mothers interpretation of this thought was one day when she called me to see how I was I said I was canning salsa. She said what is there I do not can? I said air. Her reply was that I would can the cows baller if I could figure out how to get it into the jar.
We both laughed hysterically because we both knew that was the truth. I canned all my stuff outside on a 3 burner cook stove that worked on propane. This way I did not heat up my house and was able to can many things without heating up the house or using allot of electricity.
When we bought our Verndale home we canned in our garage. Then I even canned potatoes that sure tasted good in the winter. Fried for breakfast and enjoyed.
Oh well time goes on. And best of all life continues and we just have to learn to grow where we are planted.

I am here and still do not know what I am doing.

It has come to my attention that I do not have a clue what I am doing here on my blog yet but I have seen some amazing things that others have posted.
It is beyond my imagination to me to see the creativity others posses and I just want to have some of that emailed to me so I can have some talent also.
As we are in the dog days of summer as it is called. I feel the need to remember when I used to do all my gardening and canning of produce by the bushel when the garden was in my back yard. I really miss the flavors that homegrown vegetables and fruits posses.
I used to purchase some garden produce from the Amish that live near Wadena, MN. The elderly grandpa would use an iron fist in the form of words of whatever language they were speaking Swedish I think. When he spoke to his family they scattered like flies but he was always cordial to me and I bought many bushels of fruit from him. The women were not allowed to speak.
Oh well that is how it goes cause now I am just in an apartment. See you in seminar.
